It’s all about me.

Heeeellllloooo

So I know I haven't posted in a while, i've just been either too busy or too tired to take photos! I have made some cards, one of which i've given away now so that'll never see the blog but i will try and get all the photos done on Sunday night and get them on here...

See you soon x

Tuesday 27 October 2009

Time to show!

Well i finally got around to taking photos of all the things i have to share last night and i thought i would pop on quickly before work and share them with you.

Firstly i was mega lucky this month and i won the UKS September card challenge with my "Perfect Pear" Card! I received a lovely bundle of goodies in the post a few days ago...

How yummy does all that look? I can't wait to find something to do with it!

Now, what next... I had call to make a thank you card for my wonderful stepdad. Didn'y want anything too girly but am rubbish at manly cards so i went with this little trio of owls who were too cute to resist!

This one was done using good ole PSE. A kraft background with the owls layered on top and all printed. Then i isolated one of the three owls and popped him into Robo Master and traced him. Printed, cut, gems, ribbon and done! The owls are from Glitz Design - aren't they lovely!

Next up another christmas card that i've done for the October UKS challenge.

I know you'll be surprised to hear that i've used cosmo crickets jolly by golly on this one along with kraft! The ribbon is Jolly by golly too :)

Last up a card i made as a commission for my mum last night. The recipient is a keen gardner but that's probably fairly obvious!

More kraft, some pink petticoat paper (it's from the big dots range but i tiled the paper to get little dots instead ;) ) ribbon and some mini alphas.... can't remember who they are by but if you wanna know then leave me a comment and i will dig the packet out!!

That's me all caught up! Phew! I've been planning another notelet card holder using the Cosmo Criket Girl friday range - when i saw the images i couldn't think of a better use than sending them to my girlfriends on cards!! So hopefully they should all be made over the weekend so i can share them next week :)

Oooh a comment!

So i've not posted in a few days, i have been making stuff and meaning to post but i haven't got around to taking any piccies yet! Hopefully i will get the photos done on Monday night and get them all on here :)

So, i got a lovely comment on my blog today! My blog hasn't been going very long and this is my fourth comment, te he! It makes my day to see a lovely comment about my work so thank you!!

What else do i have to share.... well that would be telling!

See you monday :)

Quickie before bed...

Before I sleep just a quick little card commissioned by my bestest friend, Liz.

Cosmo Cricket, kraft, bling and ribbon.

Saturday 17 October 2009

It's been a busy few days...

Busy being back at work, busy at a spa on Friday (lucky me) and then the weekend when i don't tend to do much crafting as i go down to see my other half and can never be bothered packing everything up - and i don't tend to plan things that well!

However, planning was needed this time. My MIL asked me to make a birthday card for this weekend so i planned it on the way back from the spa, printed and cut before leaving home and took what was needed to my other half's with me. And the result?

All the papers, except for the wood effect which is Cosmo Cricket, are printables from Pink Petticoat. The birdie image is traced with the Robo from a set of printables by Katie Hadfield, the tree trunk is again a trace of a printable - this one by Nancy Kubo.

Message inside reads "It's your birthday" and is done in the same style as the writing on the front (i forgot my alphas, d'oh) but not raised as i wasn't sure whether the card would shut properly.

Should be back on track with some xmas cards next week. Have one planned on my desk and waiting to be stuck together so fingers crossed i'll be back here on Monday.

Sorry about the rubbish photo, had to do it on my phone and without my usual huge piece of white card for the background!

Bright Christmas!

Well here is the bright card i was telling you about yesterday, i already know which friends it's going to :)

Once again it's the lovely Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly range and some stash :) I just love the sentiment!!

Tuesday 13 October 2009

No peeking I said!

These were often the words heard in my house when i was a child. I was obsessed with trying to find the presents that mum had hidden and never once suceeded. To this day i have no idea where they were....

So, i couldn't resist using at least one of the "name strips" off the bottom of the Jolly by Golly range and thought it went so well with this nice present bearing lady.

Same old suspects, i think alot of my christmas cards will be the jolly by golly range this year. With some pink petticoat Kraft and Big Dots paper.

Well am finally feeling human again today, have even been to Tesco! So am going to give work a go tomorrow, actually in work rather than doing it from home, so we'll see how that goes!

Christmas Christmas Christmas...

Well i'm on a role with the Christmas cards now. Am still feeling quite quite icky, have been working from home today but managed to get some crafting done over the weekend.

This first one is one of my entries for this months challenge over on UKS, using some good ole kraft and Cosmo Cricket Jolly By Golly collection.

The second one was a "copy" of a Danni's Doodles design, i love her work!! I changed the sentiment as i don't have the chipboard set yet (it's been ordered!) You should check out Danni's blog.

Have been working on something a little bit brighter today, and once the sparkles have dried i will take some pics and post tomorrow!

Saturday 10 October 2009

Mmmmmm...

How lucky am I??

This lovely lot arrived yesterday, well actually this is just half of it. The rest is being held hostage by my MIL as a christmas present (musn't grumble!). As you can see i am 1) Obsessed with Cosmo Cricket and 2) Going to be using alot of Jolly By Golly with my christmas cards this year!

I've been up to Dagfields Craft Centre this morning (am shattered now, still not 100% so will be spending the rest of the day chillaxing) and raided the paper shop up there. Got some nice envelopes and lots of kraft, mmmmmmmm..... kraft.....

Right, best go and plan some of those christmas cards then!

Friday 9 October 2009

Not long til Christmas...

Well it's friday. I'm finally starting to feel human again and i've got something to share :)

It's nearly christmas - well it soon comes around don't you think? - so i thought i best get started on the christmas cards. My first one for this year!

Let's see... I used some old christmas papers by Pinecone papers, some ribbon and a button for my local market. I made the embellishment myself. Firstly i cut a star out on the robo in plain card and the snowflake out of patterned paper. Then i stuck the star onto chipboard with repositionable glue and cut the chipboard out around the tempalte. Then i threw the template and covered the chipboard star in glittery paper from DCWV (the glitter cardstock border punch strips). Stick the snowflake onto the star with sticky pads then make up a bow, attach the button and there you have it! I had sewed the ribbon before sticking onto the card.

Overall, i'm pleased with it.

Thanks...

Bleurgh. That's the stage i'm at in being poorly. Bleurgh.
Anyway, i made a little card for a challenge I found via Liz over at Pink Petticoat. It's on the Allsorts Challenge Blog. The challenge is to make a card using Pink Petticoats Kraft Card. Well that's an easy one as most of my cards include Kraft!!

So, along with the Kraft i've got some ribbon of unknown origin, spotty pink paper (cut using the robo to make the text) also of unknown origin and some Prima Marketing Journalling notes, which i have been looking for for ages and finally found over at 3 Jolly Scrappers.

Wednesday 7 October 2009

Boxey box...

Still poorly. Was worse this morning but have started to feel a little better this afternoon. Am hoping that i might be able to bring myself to wash my hair at some point tomorrow - but the thought isn't nice right now. You know when you're ill and your scalp hurts, and just the thought of having to subject it to the hairdryer brush combo makes you cry inside....

Anyway, got another little project of mine finished today, dyring my drug highs and then got most of it done after i had a little sleep this afternoon.

So, a while ago i saw these sets of drawers in Wilkinsons on special offer. I think they worked out at about £2.50 per set so whilst they were a bit garish (IMO) to start with the crafter in me saw the possibilites...

I like to think of it as an ugly ducking type thing :)

Ta da!

Used some more of the Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy range, some scalloped papermania paper (i think it was papermania!) and some lovely My Little Shoebox overlays. Some string handles (cos i couldn't think of another way to do it!) and i now have something much prettier to store things in.... just not sure what yet!
Loopy x

Tuesday 6 October 2009

No, I love you smore!

I'm poorly. Nose dripping, head banging, body aching poorly. It sucks. I am using all the over the counter medicines i can and during the "drug highs" as i like to call them i am trying to get a bit of crafting done :)

So, Cosmo Cricket. It's a bit of a new one on me but i absolutely adore what i've seen so far! I saw some of their Mr Campy collection on Dannis Doodles a while ago and have been looking for the collection ever since! I broke down and asked the wonderful sponsors over on UKS and within minutes 3 Jolly Scrappers had come to my rescue, yey.

The reason I wanted it was to make a card for a couple of my DB's family friends who were over from accross the pond recently. They told me of the wonder of Smores and so when i saw these papers i couldn't resist!

The images are Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy (yey) as is the wood background. The brown base is from a selection i have which i think is Papermania but i'm not 100% sure. The ribbon is from my stash and the "stitching" is by Kelly Panacci.

More paracetamol and tea needed....

Monday 5 October 2009

We've gone all fruity...

Well an apple a day and all that, te he! My blog has been treated to a "Blog in a Box" by Zoe Pearn available over at Sweet Shoppe Designs. I like it.

And, I even have something to share.

This is a commision for a very proud grandmother's, grandson's first birthday - if that makes sense!

I used an image i found online as a basis for the cutting template. I had intended just to trace it in Robomaster but the image wasn't clear enough so i ended up creating it from scratch using lots of rounded rectangles! Then Katy Pertiet "Seeing Stars" papers from Designer Digitals for the train and Pink Petticoat Ice Cream Swirls in Pistachio for the ground. A little hand stitching , some buttons and felt and voila!

Am so so pleased with this one, made it a special box and everything.

We are sailing...

Just a quick card that I made for my mum's friend's little boy.

All pink petticoat papers, and using one of Liz's designs as inspiration and the robo for cutting.

I {heart} cupcakes...

It's true. I really do. Ask anyone. Cooking them, eating them, icing them, eating the icing... the list goes on. This week i've made three batches of cupcakes. A mega batch which went off to work (i am starting to think the people i work with get spoilt - i seem to be forever baking things and taking them in... i should either stop, or start charging them!) a smaller batch half of which went to the ladies who do my nails every few weeks and half of which went into my families and my bellies. The last batch was a little less edible, but just as pretty!

And i made an identical one, only for a 21st birthday. I was so pleased with them! I used a template from UKS which i downloaded ages ago for the robo to make the basics. The pink spotty paper is a digital download from a range by Danni Mogstad called Sweet Cupcake and the "corregated" card is another digital one, this time by Peppermint Creative called Recycling bin.

Some stickles, bling and a sewn bow/button combo and another sweet cupcake finished.

Monday 21 September 2009

Another challenge to me...

Well this is my entry for the September UKS cardmaking challenge which was to feature a card using fruit or veg, which was fun!

The background is Pink Petticoats "Kraft Card", some making memories lettering and i did the pears on the Robo, again using Pink Petticoat papers, this time from the "Washed Out" collection. I copied a design for the pears but i can't remember which range they were from....

Saturday 19 September 2009

Happy Anniversary...

This is a happy anniversary card that i made for my inlaws, sorry about the dreadful picture, but i'm sure that you get the idea!

Background is Pink Petticoat "Kraft Card" and all the coloured bits are pink petticoat as well... i used the robo to cut the birds and the heart out with and they are both traced from images from the K Hadfield Love Bird Doodles collection.

From there a bit of bish bash bosh, some lettering - eek i can't remember who it's made by but i can find out if anyone desperately wants to know and i had myself a card i was very pleased with!

Tuesday 15 September 2009

You didn't think you could get rid of me that easily did you....

Te he, I'm back! I hope.... i did say that i was a fadaholic and i wasn't joking so much! Anyway, i haven't stopped crafting and I've been taking pictures of as much as i could before it went off and found new homes and I'll do my best to actually post some of it! lol.

Anyway, for tonight i have a lovely "Sweeeeeeeeeet" cupcake card that has gone to a new home with one of my mummy's friends.

I'll be honest on this one, I've no idea what i used, i made it sooo long ago! I think the background is a pink petticoat washed out, but not sure about the rest, probably bits and bobs....

Well, my aim is to be back tomorrow as I've got lots of lovely things to share!

Sunday 24 May 2009

That's a long time...

I really really hate it when i am asked to make a card and am given specifics. A 25th anniversary card, great. Being asked to add silver and black into the equation makes it so much more difficult to design for some reason! lol.

Anyway, i finally managed to come up with this...

Very different to my usual style but i kinda like it :)

For the backing paper (black and white swirly) i started with a plain black base and used some brushes by Rhonna Farrer stamped randomly in PSE. Another Rhonna Farrer digital element for the font, text an numbers, finished with some ribbon, gems and silver paper...

... i think Rhonna Farrer may be my latest fad

Couple of bits to show...

Well it's been another hectic week, infact hectic is playing it down a little. It's been downright stressful! But as always i managed to fit a little bit of crafting in, a couple more wedding themed cards.

A good old RSVP card...

And another RSVP card, this time for a bridesmaid to say yes to bridesmaiding, if that makes sense!

Both cards use Pink Petticoat Washed Damask paper in silver for the background, scraps of white card with some gems, ribbons and glamour dust. I cut the dress out on my robo and the little bridesmaid tag too :o)
This weekend i need to get a 25th anniversary card done, i've been asked for black and silver... i don't know whether black will make an appearance but i'm sure i can get the silver in.

Sunday 17 May 2009

Long time no post...

Well okay, it's only been a few days but still!! We've had friends staying over this weekend so i haven't had much chance to do anything crafty really. We've just had a lovely chillaxing weekend :o)

Anyway, i did manage to step up to my own challenge, which is to enter a challenge. I went with this months card challenge over on UKS which is to create a card using texture.

Once again, and i know this must come as a shock i've used Katie Pertiet's Naturall Krafty digital papers for the background and the image is one from a Nancy Kubo Set called Little Owl, which i have recoloured slightly and added the little flower.

I used my Robo to cut the image, including the hole in his tummy and then inked the outline and added gems to the flower. Then i created a little tummy for him using some white felt and cotton wool for padding. Then some rik rak, ribbon, pom poms and staples and voila.

Now i need another challenge...

Loopy x

Wednesday 13 May 2009

My challenge to me...

Is to enter some challenges!

I don't think i have ever entered a challenge and i think it's about time that i do. I need some inspiration today and i think this might be the way to go.... Now just need to find one....

Loopy x

I luuuuuuuuurve Nancy Kubo...

And who wouldn't with these super cute designs!

All three use Katie Pertiet's Naturall Krafty digital papers for the background and the images are downloaded from Little Dreamer Designs, a set by Nancy Kubo called Little Owl.

Along with those some Robo cutting for the scalloped edges, ribbon and sparkles made some really cute cards! (Oh i am so modest!)

Must make more!

Sunday 10 May 2009

Another one bites the dust...

Getting much faster at the notelet holders now that i have all the templates set up for the robo, here's one i've done this afternoon for a friends daughter, Georgia... Jack's sister (see down the blog!)

Once again i've used Katie Pertiet's Naturall Krafty digital papers and a gorgeous paper from "All you need is love" by Dani Mogstad, again digital. I have been using these two so much i should put them into auto-type!

Right well i'm off to make some chinese food for dinner and to think about what to put in my america stash order! My in laws are in the states at the moment and have kindly offered to bring me some stash back, there is so much that is harder to get over here, not to mention more expensive, so even with the excahnge rate as it is right now i'm still gonna go nuts!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Loopy x

Finally finished...

Well this is the new home card which i have been working on, well forever!

All the pieces were cut on the robo, except for the lettering which is MM. The brown background is one of of Katie Pertiet's Naturall Krafty digital papers and all the other papers are from my new favourite collection, again digital, "All you need is love" by Dani Mogstad.

I've made another 3 of the card fronts, i may make another 2 and make these into change of address cards and then it could be given as a whole set...

Anyway, need to go and get some lunch, might have something else to show later.

Loopy x

Saturday 9 May 2009

Frankie says...

I don't know why but the inspiration for this one was a long time coming, it's for a friend of a friend who has just had a knee operation, so i thought i'd go with the emphasis on "Relax".

In the end i decided that the rainbow paper was being used (becuase it's so freakin' cute!) and the rest came from there really! The rainbow paper is part of a the digital set "All you need is love" by Dani Mogstad, a really good collection. Font is called Boris Black Bloxx from Da Font, it's printed onto Pink Petticoat Washed Out paper in Sunshine (which makes me smile) cut on the robo and covered in glamour dust. Finally the border was also cut on the robo, from a template i created, inspired by the threading water punch by Fiskars.

As for the rest of the day, after a very fruitfal trip to the butchers this morning i am hoping that the rain holds of so that we can bbq some goodies later.

Loopy x

Friday 8 May 2009

It's a girl!

Well i've been lucky enough to work from home today. It meant that i got tonnes done and saved myself the commute! So at 5pm, i set about to making this card for a friend.

I have taken direct inspiration (read copied!) a design that Liz over at Pink Petticoat has done, hope she doesn't mind! Which i think is absolutely gorgeous. I've used Pink Petticoat papers for the background and the pram, both in pretty pink. The paper lace was cut on the robo but i've copied the design from one of Fiskars current punches (i think, or is it a Martha Stewart, not sure!). Then some think pink rik rak doubled up with a variety of gems and pearls and a couple of buttons (again with pretty pink paper stuck into the centre). Oh, and some glamour dust on the paper lace for that added sparkle! The lettering is by MM.

Right i need to pop off and make the envelope now... not much planned for the weekend, so hopefully i might get that New Home card finished and posted at last!

Loopy x

Wednesday 6 May 2009

Stress stress stress...

Still nothing to show i'm afraid. I did have every intention of going home yesterday, finishing off my new home card and taking some pics to put up but I had such a horrible day at work that i just couldn't face anything which involved any brainpower when i got home.

So instead i did some wii fit! Got the wii and the fit for my birthday but haven't been on in a couple of weeks so thought i best had. Good news is i haven't gained or lost any weight since i was last on, so i'm 7lbs down from when i first got it and according to Mr Wii still making good progress towards my goal which was a stone in 3 months.

Ongoing at the moment, i still want to get the new home card finished. All i need to do is make the card blank and stick what i've made on the front so that should be an easy one. I also have a get well card to do for a friend to give to her friend who is also my friend (if that makes sense) as well as another 4 notelet holders!!

Just at work now, much better day than yesterday, will munch my lunch then back to work!

Loopy x

Monday 4 May 2009

Nothing to show today...

Well I did manage to come up with something today, a lovely little design which will be used on a "Happy New Home" card and i think a little matching notelet set for change of addres cards, will be the perfect co-ordinating card and gift... just as soon as someone i know moves!

Been to the cinema this afternoon - Ghost of Girlfriends Past - so not had chance to finish the card off and take any piccies but will get them on here tomorrow, camera permitting!

Loopy x

Sunday 3 May 2009

Second post today, are congratulations in order?

Here's what came of my stash buying this morning...

Pink Petticoat Washed Damask paper in Silver for the background with some card scraps to make the cake with various ribbons and sparkles on top :o) The wording is one of the making memories packets i bought this morning. Am really pleased with it :o)
Loopy x

Stash and Ice Cream...

I needed some bits and bobs so i figured a trip to Hobbycraft was in order :o) Brought back some lovely ribbons (yes more ribbons) and some really nice MM lettering which i can't wait to get using! Need to make a happy wedding type card for some friends so i think both the ribbon and lettering will get played with today!

As for ice cream, I made this card last night. I was in the middle of a project but i was getting to tired and the computer wouldn't do what i wanted it to do, so i gave up and made this sweet (te he) little card instead.... just need someone to give it to now...

The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and the ice cream is from Sweet Scoops by Julie Billingsley via Sweet Shoppe Desings. Cut the elements of the ice cream on the Robo, diamond glazed and stuck together. Easy little card :o)

Right, on with this wedding card i think, have had about enough of notelet holders (although i have another 5 to make!)

Loopy x

Saturday 2 May 2009

More notes...

Well I was asked to make a notelet holder for a friend's teenage son. Now making cards for men is bad enough, making cards for teenage boys is worse, but making a notecard set for one!?!?

A challenge it was but i actually think it has worked out pretty well. I've used another of Katie Pertiet's Naturall Krafty digital papers for the grey backing, the red dotty paper is another digital one this time from Jeanelle Paige's Kidden Around collection. The font was downloaded from DaFont and is called Trashco. Think i'll be using the colour and font combination again in the future for anything teenage boy related! I also thought that if i was to substitute the red for pink or purple it would work quite well for a teenage girl if she was grungy enough!

Anyway, enough of my babbling, so much to do, so little time!
