I wonder if there is a pot of gold at the end...

Another thank you card from me today. So many people need thanking at the moment!

Same basics as yesterday, this time the spotty paper is colour matched to the heart using photoshop. The rainbow is from the Fallen range by Nancy Kubo.

Ammmmmerican Crafts

Inspiration has been lacking for the last few days, it went away somewhere and forgot to tell me I think! Thankfully I sat down yesterday with some luuurvely American Crafts remarks stickers and some lettering and forced myself to create! Even more thankfully it worked!

Both cards feature big dots paper in pistachio by pink petticoat and I think that the scalloped pink velvet ribbon was in a multipack by Cosmo Cricket to go with their Jolly by Golly range. Both also feature good old kraft card by Pink Petticoat and the stickers (flowers and fruit) are the American Crafts remarks range (love them!!).

The artisans (I think that's the name for the bracket shape??) are made by inserting a digital notepaper (from Katie Pertiet's notebook paper pack No 5) into Robo Master and then a good old print and cut to finish. Really chuffed with the result.

I made the thanks card first and the lettering on that one is again from the Amercian Crafts remarks range. When I came to make the ur so sweet card i could tell that I wasn't going to get it to fit and as I was printing and cutting the artisans anyway i figured I could add the text myself in Photoshop. I didn't think I'd be able to find the same font as the american crafts stickers but how lucky was I!! I found it via Dafont but ended up getting it directly from the designers website (free for personal use) as the da font file wouldn't work for me... Am so so chuffed that I now have this font and will be able to use it over and over and over and over...

Two to share...

Here are two cards I made recently.

The first is a baby girl card, october afternoon notecard, pink petticoat big dots papers and some ribbon and buttons.

The second was a male birthday, used pink petticoats Big Fella collection and some liquid pearls.... and I finally found out how to make the pearls round rather than pointy! Thanks to Mystic Nat for this one, I saw the tip on her blog a while back. Once you've applied your liquid pearls, flick the back of your work and it'll flatten or round right off, fantastic!!

Me and Mr Loopy have a long weekend this weekend, today and Monday off and nothing to do..... bliss!

Think I might go and make something :)

Good enough to drink?

So my other half seems to think that I am the new version of Clintons when it comes to cards for his workmates, lol. Not that I'm complaining (much) as it does at least get me crafting :)

My latest was a card for a lady, the prompts being drinking, amateuer dramatics, cats and dogs.... I hate being given prompts. I can never come up with anything to fit them! After long hours of scouring t'interweb I found this fab design on M&S's website, and my take on it...

All papers are pink petticoat then lots of bling, and stickles :)

UKS Feb card challenge

Here's my entry

The challenge was to make a card featuring a decorative edge, birdies and ribbon. Only one bird on mine (is a duck technically a bird?!) but I think it fits the bill (no pun intended!).

All the papers are pink petticoat downloads, kraft, big spots in turqouise and solid in turquoise again. I cut the "threading water" edge on the robo as well as the text for "a boy!". Had a complete nightmare with the text, i used rub ons first but they were too much in black so i ended up having to rub them right back off (twice!!) 'til my brain found gear and did a bit of robo magic! The notecard is October Afternoon (swoon!)

Love love love...

So valentines day soon and my boss asked me to do him a couple of cards for his wife. One from him and one from the kids...

First, the one from him

I used a notecard from October afternoon with papers which were downloaded from Peppetermint Creative (Sweet Cheeks) along with some stash ribbon. Used the robo to cut the scalloped border strip and the hearts and voila.

Then the one from the kids

I couldn't resist the monsters! Again the notecard is October Afternoon as is the green backing paper. Printed a kraft base using Pink Petticoats download added some ribbon and the lettering is by Doodlebug Design.

Hope everyone has a lovely day on Sunday. Me and Mr Loopy will be relaxing and then maybe something tasty for dinner :)

You learn something new every day...

Last night I took the plunge. I subscribed to the online version of Cards magazine (which i love!) for $4.99 a month and paid the whopping $24.95 to have access to all of the digital versions of the back issues. Plus they had 25% off so it worked out quite well really! Anyway, whilst browsing through my new stash of digital magazine inspiration I came accross a feature on the DCVW Greenwoodland collection, so sweet! I've never really oohed and aaahed over DCVW but I do love the little animals on this set. So, that got me thinking as to whether DCVW do digital... and.... they do!!!

Most of my work is hybrid, I download and print most of my papers and embellishments and was so pleased to find the DCVW digital site!

Check it out... one of so so many lovely things they have!

So for $2.95 I can have these on my PC and print them, robo them, re-print them in whatever size or colour or anything that I want!! That's a bargain in my world :)

Woop woop.

Time to shop.
